Health benefits
- Energy source : Grain carbohydrates provide a quick energy boost to start the day.
- Beneficial yeast : Yeast starter provides B vitamins, supporting the nervous system and metabolism.
- Protein and healthy fats : Eggs and butter (82% fat) are an excellent source of high-quality protein and fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6).
- Moderate fiber content : Although the bun is not whole grain, a bit of flour from the starter supports intestinal function and the feeling of satiety.
- No artificial additives : 100% natural baking, no preservatives or artificial flavours.
Contraindications and recommendations
- For diabetics: Due to the high amount of sugar (≈ 27 g) and caloric content, we recommend caution – maximum ½ cinnamon stick.
- Intolerances and allergies: The product is not suitable for people with celiac disease (contains gluten), people with lactose intolerance (milk, butter) or those allergic to eggs.
- Caloric value: One piece is about 450 kcal – people on a reducing diet should eat ½ – 1/3 of the cinnamon and combine it with a light meal rich in protein and vegetables.
- Storage: At room temperature (18 – 20 °C), in a paper wrap or linen cloth to prevent excessive moisture and softening of the dough.
- Recommended consumption: Best within 2-3 hours of delivery to maintain full aroma and fluffiness.
Method of preparation and serving
- Before baking: Brush the cinnamon roll with egg (with a brush) – this gives the baked product a golden colour and a delicate shine.
- Reheating (after delivery): Place the cinnamon roll in an oven preheated to 160 °C for 3-4 minutes (or microwave - 15-20 seconds). The cake will return to freshness and the cinnamon aroma will become even more pronounced.
- Serving solo: Right out of the oven – perfect with coffee or tea.
- Dessert option: Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or pistachio cream melted in hot cinnamon sugar.
-
Suggestions for additions:
- caramel sauce with a pinch of sea salt – a sweet and salty duo;
- fruity raspberry mousse (fresh raspberries boiled with lemon juice) – a light sour-sweet note;
- creamy whipped cream – a classic combination for true sweet tooths.
